We offer a complete career ladder in programs that allow you to earn while you learn.
We offer Multiple Subject, Single Subject, and Education Specialist credentials in a program that allows students to earn a salary and benefits while simultaneously completing their credential. This innovative “residency” model has proven extremely beneficial, especially for professionals who choose teaching as a second career. We know that your education will not stop at the teaching credential. So, Fortune School of Education offers its students and graduates academic programs to pursue higher levels of education. For those who want to expand their impact as educators beyond the classroom, we offer an innovative School Leadership Program that is focused on charter schools and leads to the Administrative Services Credential for qualified applicants.
Students are supported by experienced educators.
Students in our teacher credentialing programs are assigned a mentor teacher as well as a field supervisor to provide a cohesive system of support. A mentor teacher is the teacher next door who helps you to be successful in the classroom. In addition, a field supervisor from Fortune School will visit your classroom six times a year to assess your teaching performance.
In addition to experience in the real-world classroom, students take courses as part of a cohort of fellow teachers going through the program. This cohort structure allows you to form lasting relationships with a peer group of new teachers who share common experiences. These relationships can prove a valuable source of insight and input as you navigate the dynamics of a classroom. And, since students in our programs work full-time, classes are offered on nights and weekends and taught by faculty with a strong reputation for coursework that transcends the textbook and is relevant and applicable to the issues and challenges of today’s classroom.
